COVID-19 trend in Winter

A clear visuals comparing the trend in COVID cases, with a striking difference between Northern and Southern hemisphere. Low temperature seems to be a positive factor in spreading COVID cases.

Intuitively, it seems to be valid that Winter has always been a high season for influenza and immune system is more vulnerable in cold weather. However, the relationship and actual effect of coldness on transmission of COVID has still be unknown. More studies have to be conducted to draw a conclusion.
