With credit card transactions, along with other demographics and network information, we can discover and derive key insights.

According to Dr. Zhang’s finding, government officials in PRC in general receive higher credit lines and have higher chance of credit default and debt forgiveness, compared to their counterparts with similar profile. This could indicate the presence of systematic corruption in PRC, as evident in the credit lines spread.

A further exploration could be given to a visualization of default likelihood and debt relief across time so as to give a clearer image whether the situation has improved.
